Error when reordering records in the dashboard

I also lost one record out of three in the process...
Once I also accessed this page (arbitrary.com), for some reason:

Repro

vapid new foo
update index.html and add new sortable section
open dashboard and go to section in left nav
add at least two records
navigate to "General"
navigate back to section
drag an item to reorder

Expected

Record is reordered

Actual

JS error in alert "Error: could not reorder records"

Notes

You can also repro this by navigating between other content sections in the dashboard, not just General. Also note that adding a new item will resolve the issue which is why it doesn't repro by just adding some new items and reordering them. You have to click on another section then back again. Refreshing the current view will also resolve the issue.
