  • Completed guide notebooks for all datasets in the dataset library
  • Completed answer keys for all modules available to educators by request
  • Replaced deprecated functions with current ones, which simplified the code and eliminated warnings and error messages
  • Made minor revisions to improve consistency and usability

  • Added five new modules as first drafts:
    • Introduction to probability
    • Confidence intervals
    • Confidence interval width
    • Paired samples t-test
    • Chi-square test of independence
  • The modules list was sorted to add the new modules while maintaining the order we recommend.

Changes in release 1.3

  • Removed a confusing printed confirmation when variables were given meaningful names
  • Removed suggestions we were "selecting cases" in a dataframe when we were actually copying variables
  • Sampling: Bin width of 1 lead to an unusual histogram and was changed to 5
  • Linear regression: A summary and the obtain a link instruction block were added
  • Independent samples t-tests: Initial revisions based on workshop feedback
  • ANOVA: Added a section based on workshop feedback about significant results and post-hoc testing. Tukey's HSD, a short interpretation text, and two items were added.
  • Moved the code credit/sources out of the code blocks and into the text blocks above them to clean up the code
  • Seven modules leave beta status
  • Minor formatting corrections and usability improvements

Changes in release 1.1

  • The main purpose of this release is to correct errors and typos. This may lead to small differences in modules compared to the last release. For example, the Area Under the Normal Curve module had question 3 repeated twice, so the questions were renumbered.
  • New modules are introduced as beta modules. Beta modules are complete and ready to use, but they have undergone less testing and revision. Please let us know if you encounter any errors or inconsistencies.
  • Visualizing Distributions and Area under the Normal Curve modules leave beta status.
  • Minor formatting corrections and usability improvements
  • Thanks to Michelle Baca Reinke for careful review and fixes to existing modules

  • Added redundant color coding to arrows to make them stand out (thanks to Sarah Ghannadan)
  • Added starter bullets to student answers to make them more salient. Instructors can also do a search for '-Q' in student notebooks to quickly locate the next question.
