Original Redmine Issue: 1588 from https://www.veripool.org

Original Assignee: Wilson Snyder (@wsnyder)

Running the attached testcase with:

verilator_bin --lint-only 6.sv

on version:

Verilator 4.020 devel rev v4.020-56-gbcb766b

Produces:

%Error: 6.sv:15: Can't find definition of 'ifs__Viftop__BRA__1__KET__' in dotted signal: '.ifs__Viftop[1]'
                : ... In instance ifs__Viftop[1]
     .b(ifs[0])
      ^
         ... Known scopes under 'ifs__Viftop[1]': ifs[-1], ifs[0], m0
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

It also seems like the diagnostic could be a little bit more direct about what the user is doing wrong.
