This might take fairly long, so the first step would be limiting it to packed structs and unions. Simply treat it as a wide wire and bit extract to pull off fields when referenced.

There is a branch that exists with the parser part completed.

Packed struct and unions are now in the git version towards 3.900. Note '{} is not supported yet, but will follow soon. I suspect there will be additional issues uncovered, please file bugs as appropriate.
