virt-install should grow better support for Fedora CoreOS. Examples:

  • ignition support, similar to what we provide with the --cloud-init option
  • detection of install media, like URLs (possible via treeinfo, see this coreos bug). this will require coordination with libosinfo

Possibly more. There's a coreos issue tracking this as well
