Please, look through changelog before updating.

  • render event was replaced with display callback. It gives more flexibility to display value, even into another element
  • all callback's scope was changed to element. Check your validate, success and etc methods for using this keyword
  • $.fn.editableform.types replaced with $.fn.editabletypes. It allows including inputs before editableform is loaded. Also $.fn.editableform.utils replaced with $.fn.editableutils
  • hidden event now has reason parameter allowing smart focusing between editable elements. See updated demo
  • many other fixes

Initial release of X-editable. This library is new life of bootstrap-editable plugin (1.1.4) that was strongly refactored and improved.
Main reasons caused re-branding and creation of new project are:

  • support not only Twitter Bootstrap but also jQuery UI and pure jQuery (based on the same logic)
  • different container classes to show form: popover, tooltip, poshytip
  • inline and popup modes
  • new directory structure and separate js files allowing easy extending
