Vivliostyle Pub

Vivliostyle Pub is a web application that enables writing, co-editing, and publishing books in web browsers. It aims to make the CSS typesetting system Vivliostyle easily accessible to everyone.

Usage

  1. Open the URL in your web browser.
  2. To create a project, click "Create a new project."
    • Choose an initial content for your project with the "Template" option.
    • Set your publication's metadata using the "Book title, Author, and Language" option.
    • Select your project's appearance with the "Theme" option.
  3. Click "Create Project" to generate the new project.
  4. Begin typing in the editor.
    • To insert a heading, type # Heading and press Enter.
    • To insert a paragraph, simply type your text and press Enter.
    • To insert an image, type ! to open a context menu, or drag and drop your desired image onto the editor area.
  5. Click the "Vivliostyle Pub" menu in the top-left corner to open the submenu:

      • You can check the page preview using Vivliostyle.js.

      • Book metadata settings (e.g., title, author)
      • Table of Contents settings
    • Media
      • Manage inserted images
    • Customize theme
      • Vivliostyle Theme selection
      • Install themes from npm
      • Edit custom CSS
