I didn't see support for oauth configuration and backup providers in your wiki on puppetforge, if it's already supported, my apologies, but I did not find it.

You can configure omniauth as described here: http://doc.gitlab.com/ce/integration/omniauth.html
Just put your configuration into the gitlab_rails hash passed to the gitlab class.
