When a controller is connected (I had an XBox One Model 1708 controller). It will not have a deadzone resulting in the controller drifting in whatever direction it happens to be slightly tilted towards.

I also have this issue with the joystick emulation driver for 3dxConnection products. , even in the live version of the game
Even though they're not listed in the steaminput config, they still do (usually) rotation.

It would be super cool for map makers to allow separate input devices like wheels and HOTAS with something like osc or other callouts in udon though, that would be epic for things like varneon's vehicles and sacchan's flight but obviously out of scope for this tool.
