I haven't had this problem, can you reproduce in https://github.com/johnsoncodehk/volar-starter? This sounds like VSCode issue not extension issue, because language server should not stuck VSCode technically.

Can you also share you CPU information?

I encountered similar issue. I guess there're memory leaks. I'm using v1.0.8.

You can config "volar.vueserver.disableFileWatcher": true in VSCode settings in the next version to have better performance in language client.
