This is a Call for Consensus on the proposal:

Work on the current standalone Shadow DOM specification should be stopped, and the existing specification replaced by a W3C Note clarifying that status.

Updated This does not mean work stops on the functionality, just on publishing a separate standalone spec.

Please reply with a thumbs up to support the proposal, or explain why you oppose it, before 5 October 2017

With positive support here and on the public-webapps@ mailing list, this proposal becomes a resolution of the Web Platform WG, and the SHadow Dom specification will be transferred to the status of a W3C NOTE
