CRC-CCITT for Go

An online service that I need to use requires CRC-CCITT hashing. Since Go only supports CRC32 and CRC64 functions I needed to develop another function to support CRC-CCITT hashing. I found a crc16 package implementation which gave me enough inspiration to get this working.

Usage

package main

import (
        "github.com/wagonza/go-crcccitt"
        "fmt"
)

func main () {
        fmt.Println( crcccitt.Crcccitt("Hello World") )
}
