Improved validation of block device mappings:

  • ensure minimum size (10GiB) is met for provisioned IOPS.
  • ensure that, if IOPS is specified, volume type is io1.
  • ensure that the correct ratio of IOPS to size is met.
    The ratio of IOPS to size (GiB) must not exceed 30.
    e.g. for 3000 IOPS, size must be at least 100GiB.
