You can clone with
HTTPS or Subversion.
For me on Win7 with IE8 it returns a string for example like this "02/28/2012" (e.g. it is a string representing today) and it doesn't reflect the actual file creation date which is the following date: 2012-01-18 15:57:15 +0200
Reading documentation at msdn http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms533750(v=vs.85).aspx it seems that it is indeed a string and it's format is not well known.
My suggestion is to remove that method from Image's API since it isn't supported by webdriver either.
