Will there ever be camera support?

Hello!
Beware, i am fairly new to waydroid so, go easy.

I am planning on switching over to Ubuntu Phone on my Fairphone. However I NEED to be able to run my banking apps, which need camera access in order to authenticate.
Hence, I am wondering if there are any workarounds to get camera support (only need it once to scan a qr code). Or if there are any plans on adding camera support.

For me it would be enough to set a jpeg as camera so I could take the picture elsewhere.

How did you set a picture as camera source? Throigh v4l2?
