webhookify is a service which allows you to run any code you want on your computer (Linux, macOS or Windows) and have parts of it accessible via webhooks from the internet. The webhooks can be used to push and fetch data from the client, so you can e.g. trigger events or retrieve data only accessible locally. This can be used to start programs using IFTTT or to use sensor data from your computer in an AWS Lambda function for example. Because the client is responsible for initializing the connection, it can easily traverse through NAT and firewalls commonly found in residential internet setups.

This wiki explains the installation and configuration of the clients in a few steps.
