(may not be a bug, but just an observation...)

web.py server instance when to be monitored using monit, we have to use plain protocol, we can not say http, it wont work with http

seems web.py does not returns required http headers..?

try with curl
when you curl a apache/tomcat etc web server it returns complete http response...

when you curl any web.py instance ...it simply returns a plain string

@anandology

I'm not sure what you mean. web.py should behave like any other webserver. Can you show a sample response?

no I did not try with -i

Just define a plain hello world web.py, which returns a string ...
try it with curl ...

curl simply returns that strings....where if you try curl with any other http instance it will show you http response headers

..or try monit ..with http like

check host webpy with address localhost if failed port 3000 protocol http // this wont work
check host webpy with address localhost if failed port 3000 // this works
