I'm running a wordpress multisite and after upgrading to the latest version I was missing the "clear cache" button, unfortunatly even after upgrading to the pro version I'm still missing the button. Worse, I get complaints that cache isn't getting cleaned.

Wordpress 3.7.1 - Network install
Quick Cache Pro version 131128

Button shows up in the Network Admin view
Plugin activated network wide and enabled

Thanks for everyone's help in resolving this important issue.

This bug should be fixed in the release of Quick Cache and Quick Cache Pro v131206.

Changelog v131206

http://wordpress.org/plugins/quick-cache/changelog/
http://www.websharks-inc.com/product/quick-cache/

  • New Pro Feature. It's now possible for developers to add custom PHP code to the cache clearing routines (e.g. custom code which might consider things like APC or memcache also). This requires Quick Cache Pro. Please check your Dashboard under: Quick Cache Pro -› Clearing the Cache. See also: this screenshot.
  • Multisite Bug Fix. Unable to clear the cache when running sub-directories. See: #30 and #25
  • Multisite Bug Fix. The "Clear Cache" button was not displayed for child blogs in a network. Fixed in this release. NOTE: Please be sure to save your Quick Cache options in the latest release so the "Clear Cache" button will appear as it should across all child blogs in the network. This requires Quick Cache Pro. See: Dashboard -› Quick Cache -› Clearing the Cache.

I am seeing an issue with the latest version. Version 131206. Site is www.121dogtraining.com.hk. When I amend a post or when I tweaked the Header and subtitle on Wordpress, the only way to get the updates to appear seem to be to drop into to Quick Cache and click on the clear button. BTW I am using the Weaver template. Understand the Clear Cache is viewable in in the top ribbon with the pro version. Maybe time to buy the pro version....

@DecimusBurton Two questions:

  1. Are you running WordPress in a multi-site environment?
  2. When you update the post, do you get a message at the top that says Quick Cache: detected changes. Found cache file(s) for Post ID: [POST_ID] (auto-purging).?
@DecimusBurton

Hi Raam

Scratching my head. It all is now sort of working. Just tested on two
sites. Both use the weaver template.

121dogtraining.hk

  1. No not running a multi site environment

  2. Yes seeing:
    Quick Cache: detected changes. Found cache file(s) for Post ID:
    738(auto-purging).
    when update a post and I have just opened another Browser (IE) as I did the
    change firm Firefox and the updates are there.

As a test just gone to Settings | General and changed the Tagline. Then
saved. When you do this there is no confirmation like within a post.
However I have just opened another Browser (IE) as I did the change firm
Firefox and I can see that the Tagline change has been made.

Very very odd! It all seems to be working now

321321.com

I decided to test this on another site 321321.com. Repeated the test.
Updated the current post This time the Quick Cache update message did not
appear as with 121dogtraining.hk. As before I did the change in Firefox
then opened in IE to see if the change had been implemented. This time the
change had not been implemented..... however when I came back a few minutes
later the additional text in the post was updated. This might be when I
came abck a few minues later I came back at the page level
http://www.321321.com/2013/december-2013/ and not the summary level
http://www.321321.com [see later]

like 121dogtraining.hk this site too is built using the weaver template.

I also tested changing the tagline. When you do this there is no
confirmation like within a post. However I have just opened another
Browser (IE) as I did the change firm Firefox and I can see that the
Tagline change has been made.

I decided run another test and to add another change to the current post.
Added a new line of text to the current post. This time when I saved the
Quick Cache message did appear
Quick Cache: detected changes. Found cache file(s) for Post ID:
1561(auto-purging).
Ans as soon as I opend the page in IE the change was there.

There is an issue and this might have been it
The landing page does not update,
http://www.321321.com/
however if you click on the post link then it updates and you can see the
additional text
http://www.321321.com/2013/december-2013/

So both are now working, there is a slight caching issue with the summary
home page

Raam if you need admin access to either site I would be happy to grant that
for you to take a peak if that helps isolate the issue

@DecimusBurton

PS. Forgot to add if I go to Quick Cache and click on clear then go back
to the summary page
http://www.321321.com/
the additional lines of text are there.

Not a big issue, but at one stage the summary home page is not updating
without a refresh

Hope that helps

@DecimusBurton The latest release of Quick Cache (released today) includes many Multisite bug fixes:

https://github.com/WebSharks/Quick-Cache/releases/tag/131224

Could you please give that a try and then open a new GitHub issue if you're still experiencing trouble? Thanks!

@DecimusBurton
