I'd like to see a checkbox that allows the user to offer resources to the community where they are not watching anything.

Offer resources [ ]
^ 1Disk space: __ Mb/Gb (default 2Gb)

  • Data __ Mb/Gb per d/w/m (default 1Gb per week)
  • Bandwidth: up: __ / down: __ Kbps / Mbps (default 512//512 Kbps)

Also, "channel" based download priorities would be good, when used in combination with the above, it would allow notification of new content to initiate download in the background (and not only for channels you were personally interested in), which would increase responsiveness for new content and allow smoothing of network traffic across country and personal interest boundaries.
