irc.network.ban_mask_default currently supports variables like $user or $host. It would be nice if it had a "smarter" version of $user that matched only people with verified Ident – let's say an $ident variable.

In other words: if $user starts with a ~, then $ident would expand to *, otherwise to the same value as $user.

This would be nice feature to have. I am currently always setting this to *!*@$host everywhere, but that can cause issues if someone is from shell or something similar and only IP-address is shown.

@ProgVal, could it be possible to get something similar to Limnoria? :) (Or should I create a new issue to ProgVal/Limnoria/issues?)
