This issue is to track work on suggestions for alternate campaign balancing, including additional difficulty levels, early completion bonuses, and gold carry-over.

The suggestion is to implement these changes across all mainline campaigns.

See The Rise of Wesnoth (alternative mechanics) UMC add-on for 1.14 for the proof-of-concept UMC. This is proposed as a replacement for TRoW implementing the suggestions.

For background leading to this, refer to more difficulty levels and max gold limit
