This is one method by which I hope to solve the "MySQL server has gone away" problem.
I'm still trying to solve "MySQL server has gone away."
I can't imagine that this will solve my problem, but it might make it easier to diagnose.

We now have a working search bar, and a route that I can use to filter tasks by field name, once I decide how to add it to the front end.
