Could we fix the issue of .QtWebEngineProcess and .Spyder in the user folder?
Otherwise it is not real portable.
It seems it can be solved by overriding System Variables at launch of the programs:
This is a great project.
Going to download release 4.
main features (since WinPython 2016-03):
Areas of interest for testers:
pushing issues and bug fix on packages receiving deprecation warning from Matplotlib 2.0.0b4,
helping Spyder-3.0.0rc working well on WinPython (3.0.0b7 create issues, so couldn't be in this beta)
The following changes were made to WinPython distribution since version 188.8.131.52Qt5.
Any updates on .QtWebEngineProcess and .Spyder?
I didn't look at it, Scrambling on Spyder-3.0.0b7 debuging, pandas-0.19 and Matplotlib-2.0.0b4 deprecation warnings
You may help: try to find where in Spyder code it is decided to put that ".Spyder" file.
I wish I could help.
I have zero knowledge in Programming outside MATLAB (Now learning Python).
I would think it has something to do with changing the Path Tokens in Windows.
Just Defining the User Path to be something else on the launcher.
main features (since WinPython 2016-04 build1):
Next focus for rc:
pandas-0.19, bokeh 0.12.3 (delayed = ?)
Spyder-3.0.1dev to fix one issue

cleanup bugs : bokeh 0.12.4, Spyder-3.0.1, scikit-learn-0.18.1

NOTA: WinPython-22.214.171.124rc3 specificities:
The following packages are included in WinPython v126.96.36.199Qt5 .
Any progress on the issues with folders created?
Can you just change some of the system Variables on the launcher?
no evolution on this. will be as last release
rc4 (2016-11-0x: winPython-3.6 Qt4 stack complement only)
Change from rc3 (of Winpython-188.8.131.52) :
Qt Stack on WinPython-184.108.40.206: PyQt4, Spyder, QtConsole, ...
remember it's still over Python-3.6.0b3, and Pandas has a compatibility problem for string index.
