  • Which version of WiX are you building with?

3.10.3.2917

  • Describe the behavior you expected and how it differed from the actual behavior.

When 3.10.3.2805 does a UpdateReplace to 3.10.3.2917, the command line includes the original executable path as an argument:

[3E94:40C8][2016-05-17T16:43:09]i301: Applying execute package: {258e4590-cbd2-4aef-8345-46e116056e9f}, action: Install, path: C:\Users\sean\AppData\Local\Package Cache\{258e4590-cbd2-4aef-8345-46e116056e9f}\WiX310.exe, arguments: '-burn.filehandle.self=1728 "C:\Users\sean\AppData\Local\Package Cache\{258e4590-cbd2-4aef-8345-46e116056e9f}\WiX310.exe" -burn.related.update'

That argument should not be there, it could confuse BA's that are strict about extra command line parameters.
