Feature requests

If this issue is a feature request:

  • Describe the scenario and benefits that the feature supports.
It would open up documentation to be freely edited by the community and will allow for people to consolidate and correct documentation more easily. Out-of-date and incorrect information, examples, etc. can be corrected by anyone, so they are more likely to be fixed promptly. Things that are advanced can be better explained and summarized as newbies learn. The "new" technique can even be written by the newbie themselves in less jargon! Documentation would be living and centralized, so it can avoid being fragmented across the Internet.

  • Describe how you're accomplishing the feature today (if possible).
Hundreds of tabs and guess and test with the compiler, hoping that everything works. Sort of using the mailing list and this bug tracker; however, I'm hoping that this will make searching for solutions that already exist MUCH easier.

  • Describe what you'd like the new feature to do.
Moderators create an official wiki. Allow for anyone to contribute quickly and easily. Allow for easy reorganization of page hierarchy and table/chart creation by anyone. Backup information in case it gets deleted accidentally.

I think that this will greatly increase the volumen, and quality of the documentation, because it is easier to change by WiX users
