This also removes the Save Draft button which is definitely one we want to keep. :)

How to get the preview button back? I want to preview my changes to the content. I dont care about custom meta boxes not being updated in the preview. Its the content that i am editing. Now i have to save it and make it already public once a product is published. This is a bad decision to remove the preview button. More over i see plugins and themes that have no issues with the custom meta boxes and preview. So why cant woo fix this like they do? |
Hi there, I really miss the 'Preview changes' button. In my shop I need to change very often the information in the description field and short description field. These fields were picked up by the 'Preview changes' button in Woocommerce, so until now I always could preview these changes before publishing them to my customers. When these changes were not to my satisfaction, I could simply use 'CTRL-Z' to reverse. That was a nice workflow. Now I have to publish every single edit I make in Woocommerce first and after that, when it is not okay, I can't go back with a simple 'CTRL-Z'. So, every time I edit a product now, I need to copy/paste the code to a safe place first, then publish, then copy/paste the code back into WordPress and edit again, then copy/paste and publish again, etc. This is not a very nice workflow. Besides, I use the plugin Google XML Sitemaps to send Google automatically every change I make in a page, post or product page. So, since I'm forced now to publish every edit I make (to preview), I'm sending Google multiple notifications (every time I publish) with all kind of temporary versions of my product page. That's not good. So, I really hope you reconsider the removal of the 'Preview changes' button. I miss it dearly, every day. The most I miss the workflow: edit > preview changes > go back with 'CTRL-Z' > edit again > etc. In my opinion you removed a core feature in Woocommerce without any reason or need to do so. This is very difficult for me to understand.. Thanks, |
