It seems that PayPal changed the way that they deal with modifying subscriptions on 24 April. Certainly we've found that if modify = "1" is set in a paypal button within S2Member then you get an error message when the button redirects to PayPal.
To recreate, we simply put a "modify" shortcode onto a page, and it doesn't work... it used to until very recently. By manually changing modify ="1" to modify = "0" the button works again.
Here's a page from another person mentioning the change within PayPal itself: https://whmcs.community/topic/294143-paypal-subscriptions-changes/
For now (hopefully short term!!) we have disabled our modification of subscription page, but this is not a solution at all!
Anyone have any ideas?
