Would it be possible to increase the margin/padding around the graph view to be equal to half the window width/height?

Currently there is a fixed (empty space) padding around the graph. When the branches favor one of the sides we are unable to scroll the graph content to the center of the screen. On large displays (even on my 32 inch display) this causes the user to physically turn their head towards the edge of the screen. It can become a literal pain in the neck after time.

Think of a full screen text editor which doesn't allow scrolling past the end of the file. It will quickly become tiresome when you are forced to type at the very bottom of your screen.

Increasing the padding around the graph would allow us more comfortably center the content.
