Bug report

Describe the bug

Here is a clear and concise description of what the problem is:

I'm using Kodi on a Microsoft Surface Pro 6 in Windows 11. I have the stereo in my truck connected with my Surface Pro via bluetooth for audio to go to my stereo instead of my Surface Pro speakers.

In Kodi my volume is set to 100%, my volume control on my surface pro is also set to 100%. I also use a +30db adjustment on the video audio itself. I control the volume via my radio head unit knob or steering wheel audio control. Each time the audio is adjusted the video is toggled a pause condition.

Expected Behavior

Here is a clear and concise description of what was expected to happen:

I expect to control the audio on the steering wheel or radio head unit and have it only adjust volume and not pause videos.

Actual Behavior

It toggles pause on the video each time the volume is adjusted.

Possible Fix

Guessing the head unit is sending a BT signal telling Kodi to "unpause" when volume is adjusted and it's getting translated as toggle.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Attach tablet via Bluetooth to a stereo reciever that will automatically unpause or play music when volume is adjusted. IE Delphi DEA 500/700 series commercial truck stereo head unit.
  2. Play a movie on Kodi
  3. Adjust volume, each click on adjusting volume will toggle pause on the video.
