Bug report

Describe the bug

Here is a clear and concise description of what the problem is:

When playing some MP4 files, fast forwarding and rewinding is no longer possible. This affects on the one hand the playback of multiple part files via skipping and since one of the last nightly builds also single MP4 files. It is no longer possible to fast forward and rewind these files.

Expected Behavior

Here is a clear and concise description of what was expected to happen:

Fast forwarding, rewinding and skipping should be possible again with multiple parts MP4 files as it was with Nexus and the Omega alpha 1 build.

Actual Behavior

Problem 1:

  • Skipping causes the playback to hang when reaching the end of a part file. Skipping back is generally no longer possible Then only stopping is possible.

Problem 2:
- Fast forwarding and rewinding is now often no longer possible even with single MP4 files, if you play with 2x, 4x, 8x, ... forward, then the video jumps back to the beginning or hangs when you click play again.

Possible Fix

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. play mutliple MP4 part files and try to fast skip forth (video part1.mp4 -> video part2.mp4 -> video part3.mp4)
  2. jump to the 2nd part and if than the player hangs, stop the video and start it again, so that it already starts at the 2nd part. Then try to fast skip back (video part2.mp4 -> video part1.mp4)
  3. play a MP4 file and try to forward or rewind (2x, 4x, 8x, ...)

Additional context or screenshots (if appropriate)

Here is some additional context or explanation that might help:

The described problems do not occur with video files that are in an MKV container. I converted the same MP4 files to MKV files as a test and then the problems do not occur.
