44100 kHz as we show in the codec info is a bit brutal (AE regression).
to me it makes more sense to put this in the info manager, rather than in the player.
fixed: return kHz, no Hz
You'll lose some information in case of 44100 or 22050 Hz.
It's better to use float in this case.
@jmarshallnz @cptspiff Looks like regression. Loose some information when blindly cutting Hz.
44100 Hz and 44.1 kHz are standards, but 44 kHz is non-standard.
No regression. It always showed 44. Whether this is desired is another discussion.
@cptspiff But it's not 44 kHz. It's 44.1 kHz.
So we loose some significant information.
It's like we'll show 24 fps instead of 23.976 fps.
Anyway, just using float format is simple and with correct result.
Read my answer. I recognize there may be an issue but it is not a regression.
OK, I understand your terminology.
What we can do with an issue?
patch/pr most welcome.
OK, thanks for clarifying.
