After installing on OS X 10.7.1/VirtualBox 4.0.12 (tried all systems as well as IE7 only), I'm getting the above error on boot. The script itself seems to run fine. Is this a known issue?

Confirming same system, same VirtualBox, same issue.

hi folks

is there a harddisk image mounted in the virtual machine?

were there any errors during the script execution? probably i found the bug but i need some more information from you

@dasrecht I didn't see any errors while running the script. No HD image was mounted though, manually picking the downloaded one in ~/.ievms did the trick.

@paulstraw you can fix this problem by removing the --setuuid "" in the ievms file.

see this pull request: bassnode@d3d40fc

This should be fixed in the latest commit. Of course, let me know if you're still having problems.

I just tried an install with...

curl -s https://raw.github.com/xdissent/ievms/master/ievms.sh | IEVMS_VERSIONS="7" bash

and got this same error.

I'm running os x 10.6.8 and Virtual Box 4.1.8

I have the same issue with...

  • OS X 10.7.2
  • VirtualBox 4.1.12 r77245
  • IE 9

I also installed IE 7 and 8, which seem to be working.

UPDATE 2012.04.12: After deleting the IE9 VM from VirtualBox and ~/VirtualBox VMs, the third install attempt seems to have worked.
