Hi! This github repo and npm package are named with the "airbnb-" prefix. Can you explain why?

Because this repo is copied from an Airbnb repo.

Sure, it’s based on react-dates. But this is a published package that airbnb doesn’t use and doesnt maintain.

So do I need to change the repo and also the package name to remove "airbnb"?

I can’t force you to do so, but it would be nice so that you’re not implying an association that doesn’t exist :-)

OK, got it. I will rename the name of this repo first. But I'm not sure whether I can change a Npm package name.

You’d need to publish the new one, and then deprecate the old one; you’re right that you can’t rename or delete the existing one. Thanks!
