Just like you had the problem before with GRUB2 rebooting instantly when you pressed enter. I'm having the exact same issue with LILO. Can you give me any advice? I've looked everywhere.

Not sure how much I can help you here as this project is meant to be one-off done a few years ago.

For starters, you need to give more information.

  • What are your system specifications?
  • What version of Gentoo?
  • What installation steps did you use?
