I think Shakespeare build times are being slowed down by the same inlining issue that affected persistent-template (see bos/text#19). Similarly, we may need to tweak yesod-routes.
Are you seeing horrible build times for the templates as well?
Not quite as bad as persistent-template, but definitely a noticeable slowdown. I think this might come from Lucius mostly, which uses lots of small Texts.
Prevent code size explosion for Lucius (yesodweb/yesod#298)
It was a combination of both pack and fromText being inlined. Compile time of the scaffolded site is much better now (normalize.lucius was a great test case).
