Thanks for the input, but it doesn't feel like my style ;).

Does this mean you think the code is ready for an initial release and I should put up the post?

I do. Here's the thing: its going to piss people off and we should just
be mentally prepared for that. I think keeping it at a 0.x version and
making it clear in the blog post and haddocks that we are using it but we
really want feedback and are open to changing it will help.

For the record, your responsiveness in changing yesod and adding features
over the last 2 years is somewhat unparalleled in the OSS world. Kind of
shocked that you get shit for it.

I love how the top comment is basically: "this is dumb because type classes
suck and it requires some extensions that are only a few years old. You
should have added a totally new, untested feature to GHC. And library
authors could write shitty instances so you suck."

Sigh. I've come to expect that much of Haskell Reddit, and some people there in particular. Make some grand claim in absolute terms declaring something something something equational reasoning something something, and it's automatically gold. It's just not worth getting worked up over the silly absolutism of some individuals.

maxcan commented Jul 12, 2012

I know. I'm not saying it out of frustration, rather amusement
