jQuery UI 1.9.0 - http://blog.jqueryui.com/2012/10/jquery-ui-1-9-0/
jQuery UI 1.9.1 - http://blog.jqueryui.com/2012/10/jquery-ui-1-9-1/
jQuery UI 1.9.2 - http://blog.jqueryui.com/2012/11/jquery-ui-1-9-2/

There are new widgets like menu, spinner and tooltip - would be nice to add them to the CJui*

Few widgets are improved and some API were deprecated, so all this should be checked and improved in current CJui* widgets

Most of the code is still compatible with the old API so even if we'll change how we work with it no applications should break.

Somehow related: #1237.

nasht00 commented Nov 13, 2012

Is there a way to manually upgrade in the meantime?

samdark commented Nov 13, 2012

Sure. Just do as shown here:

and then use your own jQuery.

nasht00 commented Nov 14, 2012

This is jQuery, I'm talking about jQuery-UI.
I've already successfully replaced jQuery, but I believe jQuery-UI is more built-in with the features of Yii, so I want to make sure it is safe.

samdark commented Nov 14, 2012

Same thing. Latest jQueryUI has some deprecated stuff but still it should be backwards compatible (at least that's mentioned on their website).

Sorry to bring this up, but I want to ask. Has the spinner widget, which is new in jquery UI 1.9, been implemented as a CJui component in 1.1.13RC?
