  1. set dashboard as overlay with new OS

Apparently the key is "dashboard-enabled-state" now, though it's hard to
imagine why the redundancy is needed. Leaving the old one around because
it doesn't hurt to set both and I don't want to make this
    version-specific if I don't have to.

  1. use osxkeychain git credential helper

Not using Boxen anymore. A lot of this stuff could be cleaned up. It
might even actually be cleaned up soon. Right now I'm making what
changes I need to get another computer happy.

(What? It wasn't obvious why I was finally touching this repo again?)

  2. go back on completion path, just using homebrew

You know what? 7bb4831 may well have
been a mistake. Or silly, at least. I don't really know what I was
thinking six years ago, and right now I think just using homebrew's
completion is good enough for me.

  1. adding a `git commit --amend --no-edit` alias

I sometimes want this, but not often enough that I can think of a good
alias name for it, especially one that doesn't conflict with `cia`.

I was considering `cane` (for Commit Amend No Edit), but for now I'm
going with `atc`, (for Add To Commit).

  2. adjust `git logg` colors

This makes it look more like the built-in stuff, including the plain
    `git log --graph --oneline` and `git log --oneline --decorate`.

Maybe I'll find a way to make the ref names different colors, like with
    the `--decorate` option.

  3. a bit of git-prompt cleanup

Just use the already-defined `git_current_branch` to get the branch,
    instead of repeating it.

No need to export the branch, either. It's not going to a different
    process, like in `git_display`.

    And
    - a bit of whitespace on `git_dirty`
    - using backticks instead of `$()` in `git_display`

  1. new `git_dirty` using "porcelain" git status

Instead of normal git-status, counting some characters, and using awk,
just run `git status --porcelain`. If there's any output whatsoever, the
    tree is dirty.

There is probably a better way to test if the command produced any
    output.

  1. add git alias for adding empty commit

Sometimes I do this for testing purposes. This’ll make it easier.

  1. show indicators for open applications in the dock

I think this is default behavior, but worth putting down.
    committed Nov 24, 2014
  2. minimize windows into the application icon

This appears to be a new thing with Yosemite, or at least I've never
noticed it before. It seems interesting, worth trying out for a while.

  3. Add values for hotcorners

If I ever want to change this, it's good to have the information right
    here.

  4. more changing tabs with cmd-opt-arrow

Now with Yosemite, there's a new set of next/previous tab menu choices.
At least in Terminal, that is.

  4. enable ctrl-scroll for zooming

I need it, especially with the way I scale up the resolution.

    Also I really enjoy it.

  1. add Atom keymap.cson file

This should probably be a symlink file handled entirely by the dotfiles,
but it needs to go into a certain directory. I'm considering what this
means for the Rakefile. Until then, I'll handle the placement using
boxen (which won't appear here). The important part is getting the file
    under version control.

  1. add a `mac` function

Just like `ip`, but to show me the mac instead of the IP.

    Wow, that sounded obvious.

  1. don't update boxen when messing with services

    can even be explicit after)

  1. better voices action

Getting the list from `say -v ?` is more accurate. It also has its own
    problems.

  2. add random_say

For saying things with a random voice. Why haven't I done this before?

  3. strip out the "Compact" voices

Not sure what's going on with this.
Also, it might be better to just get the list from `say -v ?`
