This is a COPY of Issue 451: Bookmarklet only works when target is on same domain, filed on Google Code before the project was moved on Github.

Please review the original issue and especially its comments. Comments here on closed issues will be ignored. Thanks.

Original description

Using YOURLS 1.4.3 I have tried using all 3 of the different bookmarklets I found (1 on pub.php & 2 from Tools page that go to admin.php) and they all give the same results:

If the page I'm trying to create a shortened URL to is outside my YOURS domain I get a Forbidden 403 saying you are not allowed to access pub.php or admin.php (depending on which bookmarklet I'm trying.) Yet, I have no problem accessing either of those pages directly.

Purely by accident I discovered that the bookmarklets do work if the page I'm trying to link to is on the same domain as my YOURS installation, but unfortunately that will never be the case.

Trying to rule out permissions problems I've tried various .htaccess and also changing permissions on the pub.php and admin.php files in question, but it didn't make any difference.

Since I can't find any similar problems searching I assume it must be in my configuration somewhere so can you please point me in the right direction?
