Can you try this with a current version of youtube-dl? Type

sudo youtube-dl -U

to update.

Extractor from version 13.7.8 succeeds.
prior cause: dailymotion changed the url format of all videos. The hyphens separating the id - title - category have been changed to underscores.
Currently- tion.com/video/xpetu6_cute-kitten-habits_animals
Formerly - tion.com/video/xpetu6-cute-kitten-habits-animals

Works fine with latest version.
