What is the purpose of your issue?

  • Bug report (encountered problems with youtube-dl)
  • Site support request (request for adding support for a new site)
  • Feature request (request for a new functionality)
  • Question
  • Other

Found out that youtube-dl downloads the video as multiple files instead of one file, which is much slower on my machine, used to be able to download videos several megabytes a second, now only downloads at a few hundred kilobytes per second. I would like an option to download the videos the old way.
