Discovery GO not working for Deadliest Catch #10406

Make sure you are using the latest version: run youtube-dl --version and ensure your version is 2016.08.22. If it's not read this FAQ entry and update. Issues with outdated version will be rejected.

  • I've verified and I assure that I'm running youtube-dl 2016.08.22

I keep getting "Unsupported URL" even though DiscoveryGO is listed as being available.

You are using an outdated version of youtube-dl. Read this FAQ entry if you have troubles updating.

I didn't realize that -U doesn't really update but actually creates a .exe.new file next to the .exe file.

It does work with the latest version. Thanks.

-U does exactly update.
