I've had this error on several video streams such as:

?v=sSu6ixOlzmc
?v=Rv2OyI0nXEE
etcetera

Running with option

youtube-dl -o 'something.mp3' \
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSu6ixOlzmc

You are running an outdated version. Update it with sudo youtube-dl -U. If you still have the problem then comment here, please.
