cant grab twitch stream when channel is "broadcasting playlist"

Twitch says "GeekandSundry broadcasting playlist", but youtube-dl doesnt detect the stream

ERROR: geekandsundry is offline

To clarify, this is not a live stream, this is a rebroadcast of an old stream. There are twitch channels that enable watching of past streams strictly for subs, non subs can only watch live or current rebroadcast. youtube-dl cant handle rebroadcasts.
