Updated, 95% done. Works really well, I use it for music videos. |

Thank you for your program. Can you release the source code and clarify that it is not youtube-dl? We'd be happy to include a link on our static sites then. |

I made a little GUI exe program
It is just for youtube only. It's really intended for downloading music videos.
When you first run the program you set the music video download folder. The program will sit in the system tray. When you right click, copy any youtube URL it will download the music video. Prior to downloading it checks that you don't have a similar music video already. It automatically tries to download the highest quality version. It supports multi concurrent downloads. A new tray icon appears for each active download, hover over the tray icon to view it's DL status.
Some YouTube videos are served using Adobe's proprietary RTMP protocol, which imposes DRM restrictions and encrypts the connection. youtube-dl is not able to download these videos by itself. However, it will attempt to use the rtmpdump program, if it's installed in your system, to download these videos. To install rtmpdump, download it, extract to the same folder, then add that folder to your path.
I've also included the autohotkey script files in case you don't want to run a random exe from a stranger :)

It could probably do with a little polishing, but it works quite well. This is the first program I have ever written. It's still a work in progress, and I haven't yet included props to youtube-dl.exe etc. etc.
