On Ubuntu 16.04, latest available from apt-get

youtube-dl https://youtu.be/FCWHoXMt3G4

Version 2016.02.22, but this is the latest available from the repo.

failed to work, resulting in the following:

You are using an outdated version of youtube-dl. Read this FAQ entry if you have troubles updating.
