Make sure you are using the latest version: run youtube-dl --version and ensure your version is 2017.01.10. If it's not read this FAQ entry and update. Issues with outdated version will be rejected.

  • I've verified and I assure that I'm running youtube-dl 2017.01.10

Before submitting an issue make sure you have:

  • At least skimmed through README and most notably FAQ and BUGS sections
  • Searched the bugtracker for similar issues including closed ones

What is the purpose of your issue?

  • Bug report (encountered problems with youtube-dl)
  • Site support request (request for adding support for a new site)
  • Feature request (request for a new functionality)
  • Question
  • Other

The following sections concretize particular purposed issues, you can erase any section (the contents between triple ---) not applicable to your issue

If the purpose of this issue is a bug report, site support request or you are not completely sure provide the full verbose output as follows:

Add -v flag to your command line you run youtube-dl with, copy the whole output and insert it here. It should look similar to one below (replace it with your log inserted between triple ```):

E:\>youtube-dl.exe --download-archive D:\scripts\Auto-TV-Download\archive.txt --restrict-filenames --continue --no-check-certificate --ignore-errors --verbose -o Duck.Dynasty.S11E%(episode_number)s.%(title)s.mp4 "http://www.aetv.com/shows/duck-dynasty/season-11"

[debug] Encodings: locale cp1252, fs mbcs, out cp437, pref cp1252

If the purpose of this issue is a site support request please provide all kinds of example URLs support for which should be included (replace following example URLs by yours):

Note that youtube-dl does not support sites dedicated to copyright infringement. In order for site support request to be accepted all provided example URLs should not violate any copyrights.

Description of your issue, suggested solution and other information

Season playlists no longer work. Individual episode links (http://www.aetv.com/shows/duck-dynasty/season-11/episode-1) do still download.

Hey,

Thanks for software

+1

The following options still generate output but it's not correct:

playlist: Name or id of the playlist that contains the video
playlist_index: Index of the video in the playlist padded with leading zeros according to the total length of the playlist
playlist_id: Playlist identifier
playlist_title: Playlist title

For example, despite a channel/user having >1 playlist, use of playlist will only generate a single value (i.e. "Uploads from [channel/user]"). This indicates to me either a) I'm not using the option correctly or b) playlists are being ignored.

Let me know if you have any issues - happy to help

Hope this is clear/useful

Hope to hear back

Yours faithfully

I don't have an Adobe Pass account so I can't download it. At least 10 episodes are recognized correctly. Are you still encountering problems?

@ldexterldesign Sounds a different problem. If you think it's a bug/missing feature, please open a new issue and describe your expectations and actual results.

i guess locked issues can't be closed from commit message, this is a problem, i think it can affect some of the other commits as well.

I thought I saw a note about this working a couple of versions ago, but now I cannot find where that was posted.

It is working now. Thanks!

Apologies for delay

Ignore #11669 (comment) - I was using syntax incorrectly for my requirement (i.e. give me a user's videos organised by playlist)

I expected playlist criteria to output in the file name but (some of?) the template names actually output as folder structure; so something like this works for me:

youtube-dl -o '%(playlist)s/%(playlist_index)s - %(upload_date)s - %(title)s.%(ext)s' [url] --ignore-errors --playlist-reverse

Hope this is clear/useful

Regards
