Make sure you are using the latest version: run youtube-dl --version and ensure your version is 2017.01.24. If it's not read this FAQ entry and update. Issues with outdated version will be rejected.

Description of your issue, suggested solution and other information

When downloading videos from crunchyroll and using the -o option youtube-dl replaces season with NA and replaces series with season name, incidentally it also replaces season_id and season_number with NA as well.

The full option and argument I'm passing: -o 'D:/crunchyroll/anime/%(series)s/%(season)s/%(episode_number)s - %(episode)s.%(ext)s'

A free example video that has a different series and season name: http://www.crunchyroll.com/a-certain-scientific-railgun/episode-47-silent-party-727385
