Douyu.com is a live streaming website and it uses cookie to change the stream source/video quality. You'll have to go into the web browser, change the quality to 1080p (free account needed) then use youtube-dl to download.

v.douyu,com on the otherhand is a content upload website which is still awaiting support. #12228

Edit: Tried downloading the stream HTTP error 403 Forbidden every 5 minutes.

I have tried changing quality to 1080p (using my douyu's account) but the video quality youtube-dl got from douyu.com still lower than 1080p. It seemed to be the lowest quality that douyu.com offered.
