Arte.tv no longer works

Make sure you are using the latest version: run youtube-dl --version and ensure your version is 2017.04.17. If it's not read this FAQ entry and update. Issues with outdated version will be rejected.

• I've verified and I assure that I'm running youtube-dl 2017.04.17

Before submitting an issue make sure you have:

Arte.tv used to work but does no longer after they redesigned the website.

Yes I can confirm this ... used version 2017.04.17 on Mac OSX 10.12.4 (16E195). Thanks a lot for the great tool!

I also have the same issue with this version of youtube-dl.
The website just have change the URLs of their webpages I think.
